class=\"has-small-font-size\">\u00ab<em>&nbsp;La compagnie des chemins de fer de l&rsquo;Est ouvre d\u00e8s 1883 une ligne entre Lun\u00e9ville et Saint-Di\u00e9-des-Vosges, desservant la gare d&rsquo;\u00c9tival-Clairefontaine. \u00c0 l&rsquo;Est de cette gare s&rsquo;ouvre la vall\u00e9e industrieuse du Rabodeau. Les industriels de cette vall\u00e9e demandent \u00e0 la compagnie de l&rsquo;Est la construction d&rsquo;une ligne de chemin de fer permettant sa desserte, mais, face au refus de la grande compagnie, s&rsquo;associent pour obtenir la concession de la ligne<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><em>La ligne est d\u00e9clar\u00e9e d&rsquo;utilit\u00e9 publique par la loi du 5 janvier 18821 et conc\u00e9d\u00e9e \u00e0 MM. Vincent Pommier et compagnie, entreprise textile des Manufactures Saint-Maurice2 \u00e0 Senones, et Fournier, ing\u00e9nieur civil \u00e0 \u00c9pinal, pour une dur\u00e9e de 99 ans3 expirant en 1984.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><em>La voie, construite aux normes des grands r\u00e9seaux par les entreprises Giron et Loncol, est r\u00e9ceptionn\u00e9e le 30 mai 1885 et mise en service 5 juin 1885, et son exploitation est d\u00e9sormais assur\u00e9e par la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 anonyme du chemin de fer d&rsquo;\u00c9tival \u00e0 Senones, dont le si\u00e8ge \u00e9tait en gare de Senones, qui assure le transport de marchandises et de personnes.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><em>La ligne, \u00e0 voie unique avait son origine dans la cour des arriv\u00e9es de la gare d&rsquo;\u00c9tival-Clairefontaine, suivait sur une courte distance la ligne de Saint-Di\u00e9 et s&rsquo;en s\u00e9parait pour rejoindre la rive gauche du Rabodeau, affluent de la Meurthe, passait \u00e0 travers de nombreuses for\u00eats et desservait de nombreuses industries, notamment \u00e0 Moyenmoutier. La ligne comprenait un important viaduc \u00e0 12 arches \u00e0 Moyenmoutier.
