Elle permet de r\u00e9guler le d\u00e9bit de la Moselle et ainsi de garantir un bon fonctionnement \u00e0 la centrale nucl\u00e9aire de Cattenom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure textile \u00e0 Celles-sur-Plaine, propri\u00e9t\u00e9 de Charles Cartier-Bresson. Elle comptait \u00e9galement de nombreuses exploitations foresti\u00e8res et scieries. L&rsquo;objectif du chemin de fer \u00e9tait la desserte de ces exploitations (14 embranchements seront construits) et l&rsquo;acheminement des ouvriers.
